| Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna |
The Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF) initiative involves collaboration among eight Arctic nations for more effective research, conservation management, and sustainable use of northern resources. The United States has agreed to develop a prototype geographic information system (GIS) for Alaska, which would potentially be a model for a circumpolar GIS.
